Glossary
Schema Markup
Structured data added to your pages (in JSON-LD format) that tells search engines and LLMs exactly what your content is about.
Definition
Schema markup uses the schema.org vocabulary to label content as Product, Article, Organization, FAQ, Review, etc. It helps search engines and LLMs unambiguously parse your pages, which improves both traditional rich results and inclusion in AI answers. Strong schema is a foundational AEO/GEO tactic.
Example
A SaaS pricing page uses Product and Offer schema to declare its plans, prices, and features in machine-readable form. AI engines parse this directly when answering "how much does X cost."
